Full Journal pdf1994-05-03 Senate Journal Page 4275 HB 448 The Resources Committee considered CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 448(RES) "An Act relating to waste and use of salmon and parts of salmon; relating to permits for and operation of a salmon hatchery; and providing for an effective date" and recommended it be replaced with SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 448(RES) and further attaches a Resources Committee Letter of Intent. Letter of Intent for SCS for CS for HOUSE BILL NO. 448(RES) It is the intent of the Legislature that regulations adopted by the Department of Fish and Game implementing this legislation set out standards which must be met before a permit is issued for roe harvest as authorized by SCS CSHB 448(RES). These standards shall include assurances that there 1994-05-03 Senate Journal Page 4276 HB 448 are no other feasible options for utilization of salmon prior to the issuance of a permit for harvesting roe. It is also the intent of the Legislature that hatchery operators explore all options for utilizing the maximum amount of the carcasses of all returning fish.
